How to Calculate Your Overtime Pay
Hourly rate = (Basic Salary ÷ 26 working days) ÷ 8 hours
Step 2 — Apply the overtime multiplier:
Normal overtime (daytime) = hourly rate × 1.25 × overtime hours
Night/rest day overtime = hourly rate × 1.50 × overtime hours
Example: Basic salary OMR 600/month. Worked 3 hours of daytime overtime.
Hourly rate = (600 ÷ 26) ÷ 8 = OMR 2.88/hour
Overtime pay = 2.88 × 1.25 × 3 = OMR 10.80
